In addition to an exciting career filled with meaningful work, we offer: * Competitive salary * Flexible hours and half day Fridays (all year round) * Comprehensive Group Health Benefits Program, including a Health Spending Account * Group Retirement Savings Plan (Employer and Employee Contributions) * Employee Share Ownership Program (ESOP) * Purchase Time off Program * Transit Subsidy Program * Wide variety of community and social events * Great Place to Work-Certified™ * Best Workplaces™ in Canada * Best Workplaces for Inclusion™ * Best Workplaces for Professional Services ™ * Best Workplaces for Mental Wellness ™ What You'll Do   * Lead full-cycle recruitment for assigned client groups, including job postings, candidate pre-screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, extension, and onboarding.  * Lead the co-operative education program for assigned client groups, overseeing the full program lifecycle from recruitment through completion, building strong relationships with university and college career centres.  * Support the annual compensation cycle, including merit increases, bonus administration, and short-term incentive processes.  * Coordinate the annual promotion nomination cycle, including timeline management, stakeholder communication, and submission tracking.  * Serve as the HR advisor for health and safety matters for assigned client groups.  * Support employee relations matters, including workplace accommodations, performance improvement plans, and employment terminations.  * Track immigration matters and employee work authorization, ensuring timely follow-up and compliance with applicable requirements.  * Support the ongoing implementation of competency frameworks and career path initiatives.  * Lead or coordinate assigned HR projects and initiatives, ensuring timely execution and alignment with departmental objectives.  * Support the planning and coordination of employee engagement initiatives and events that contribute to a positive workplace culture.  * Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs and workflows to improve process consistency and efficiency.    Who You Are   * A bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a related field.  * Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.  * At least 5 years+ of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist role within a corporate environment.  * A self-starter with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management abilities.  * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.  * Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience using best practices to improve HR processes.  * Excellent time management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across competing priorities.  * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including the ability to build spreadsheets using VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and basic macros.  * Experience managing tight deadlines during fast-paced cycles.  * Experience using applicant tracking systems.  * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.    About Smith + Andersen Founded in 1965, Smith + Andersen has organically grown from an established reputation as a trusted engineering consulting firm, reaching new levels of engineering and design excellence in the mechanical, electrical, communications, security and audiovisual fields, and providing enhanced services such as lighting, building automation systems, and intelligent integrated systems design.
