Human Resources Intern

At Key Assets, the HR Intern will work with the HR Team in ensuring execute full circle recruitment and onboarding, and the accurate and safe storage/management of all HR records, databases, and systems in compliance with privacy and labour regulations across Canada. This is a very fast paced role with high volume tasks, the ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and posses strong organizational and time keeping skills. The HR Intern will assist to complete the following, but is not limited to:

  • Assists with aspects of employee recruitment and screening including advertising job openings, sorting, and reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews on an as needed basis.
  • Asist with preparing orientation packages and on-boarding process of new employees where necessary and as needed.
  • Prepare HR-related reports as needed.
  • Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal and licensing requirements within each jurisdiction.
  • Develop and maintain HR compliance knowledge.
  • Begin to develop knowledge of HR Laws and Regulations.
  • Keep informed of new development in the HR Field.
  • Cultivate interpersonal skills.
  • Foster time management skills.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities: To be successful in this role, the candidate is required to:

  • Be a recent graduate or enrolled in a Business or Human Resources Administration program of study.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Clear Certificate of Conduct from RNC/RCMP
  • Valid Proof of Canadian Residency
