Requirements The Director of HR Operations and Organization Effectiveness serves as a strategic HR leader responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining the company’s organizational architecture, HR systems and processes, and core people programs. This role ensures the company’s structures, roles, and HR practices support scalability, operational excellence, and employee experience. The Director will work closely with HR leadership and cross-functional business leaders to strengthen compensation, benefits, job design, workflows, and overall organizational health. This role brings a systems-thinking approach to ensure clarity, consistency, and efficiency across people-related frameworks. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: HR Technology and Process Design Configure HR systems to ensure alignment with organizational architecture and HR processes. Leverage HR tech resources to enhance system workflows, data integrity, and reporting. Evaluate tech tools to support all aspects of HR including, performance management, compensation, feedback, and organizational planning. Develop and evolve operational metrics, people analytics and insights, and PE ready reporting. Organizational Architecture & Design Maintain and evolve the company’s job architecture, including job leveling frameworks, families, and career paths. Evaluate and optimize organizational structure to ensure appropriate spans of control, clear reporting lines, and elimination of hierarchy duplication. Conduct role clarity assessments, including defining roles & responsibilities, decision rights, and segregation of duties. Support leaders in organizational planning, workforce modeling, and designing scalable structures. Compensation & Benefits Support the maintenance and evolution of compensation structures tied to job architecture and market competitiveness. Conduct job evaluations and ensure internal equity within the leveling framework. Assess, optimize, and oversee all benefit programs. HR Operations Implement HR operating mechanisms, governance models, and documentation standards to promote consistency and compliance. Design and optimize frameworks, policies, and procedures across employee lifecycle that ensure transparency and repeatability across the organization. Oversee Generalist’s responsibilities including, onboarding, HRIS input, payroll processing, and benefit administration. QUALIFICATIONS: 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong expertise in org design, job architecture, and HR operations. Experience in a mid-size (“scale-up”) or matrixed organization strongly preferred. Strong analytical and systems-thinking mindset. Familiarity with HR technology (HRIS) and data-driven decision-making. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority. Maintain high attention to detail while managing multiple priorities at once. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Strong commitment to excellence in client service and work product.
