Description Position: Human Resources Manager Type: Salary, Full-Time, Exempt Compensation: Up to $120k per year (base salary + performance bonus) Benefits: Health Insurance (Medical, Vision, Dental) PTO (Vacation, Sick) Equity Shares (ESOP) Key Responsibilities: Lead the HR team and manage all department functions end-to-end, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, terminations, and payroll. Manage labor costs effectively by overseeing staffing levels, controlling overtime, and ensuring proper meal and rest break compliance. Resolve all legal and employee relations matters promptly, including investigations, disputes, and potential litigation. Maintain accurate and complete employee documentation and personnel files at all times in accordance with company policy and legal requirements. Champion a strong organizational culture focused on employee training, development, engagement, and motivation. Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable California Labor Laws and regulations. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree (required) Experience: 3+ years of managing HR for 200+ employee company in California (preferred) Company Description: Akua Behavioral Health is California’s leading mental health and substance abuse treatment center.
