Requirements DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal and State Labor Laws. To provide guidance to the managerial staff on Equal Employment Opportunity Laws. • Assist the HR Director in developing and maintaining effective Personnel Policies and procedures within the framework established by the Chief Executive Officer. • Assist the HR Director in managing the agency’s employee benefits plans to include health, life, and long-term insurance and agency pension plan. • Maintain all personnel files in accordance with acceptable record-keeping guidelines and requirements. • Maintain the Personnel Database program. • Handle the administration of all Worker's Compensation matters to include prompt filing of injury reports with the carrier. • Handle the administration of all FMLA and other Medical Leave matters • Assist and advise supervisors on proper handling of disciplinary matters to ensure fairness and compliance with Personnel Policies regarding due process. • Assist management in identifying measures and loss prevention controls to reduce or eliminate potential risks, and/or liability exposure to the agency and/or personnel. • Understands and upholds CentroMed’s mission and values relating to ethics, integrity, safety, corporate responsibility and objectives • Abides by all policies and procedures set forth by CentroMed • Ensure the protection and security of all personal, confidential and identifiable information in a professional and responsible manner and carry out all measures to prevent from any unauthorized disclosures. Demonstrating and maintaining the standards and requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards. • Performs other duties assigned. • Work must be performed on-site as designated QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration Experience: Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Human Resources preferred Other: Knowledge of principles and foundations of Human Resources Must be familiar with all federal laws and regulations affecting the workplace Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office application Bilingual/Bicultural preferred PHR/SHRM-CP preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position. • Must be able to deliver excellent customer service, externally and internally • Must be able to meet the attendance requirements of the position. • Must not pose a threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace. • Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted.
