Conduct interviews, coordinate hiring decisions, and extend offers. Lead onboarding process including orientation, paperwork, and new hire follow-up. Develop recruiting pipelines for high-demand roles (especially technicians). Serve as the primary HR contact for all employees. Address employee concerns promptly and professionally. Conduct investigations and manage corrective action processes. Coach managers on performance management and employee development. Maintain employee records and HRIS systems. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws. Manage I-9s, E-Verify, workers’ comp, unemployment claims, and reporting. Update and enforce company policies and handbook. Administer health, retirement, and other benefits programs. Coordinate open enrollment and employee benefits education. Assist leadership with compensation reviews and pay adjustments. Monitor market competitiveness for key positions. Work with Operations Manager to coordinate required safety and compliance training. Support leadership development and succession planning. Support employee recognition initiatives. Partner with leadership to strengthen communication across departments. Be visible, approachable, and proactive. Experience 5+ years of hands-on HR experience. Experience in a dealership, automotive, manufacturing, or skilled labor environment preferred. Strong experience in recruiting for skilled trades (technicians highly preferred). Experience handling employee relations and compliance independently. Skills Strong working knowledge of employment law. Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal administrative support. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. High level of confidentiality and professionalism. Comfortable working directly with leadership and frontline employees. Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred but not required. Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package. Medical, Dental & Vision insurance Eligibility for paid holidays at time of hire.
