As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead our people operations and to help ensure a thriving workplace.
The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, benefits management and compliance with California (along with other state/federal) employment laws. This role is crucial in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that HR strategies align with business goals.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience: 5+ years in HR management, preferably in a creative or production-focused industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Necessary Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing compliance with wage and hour laws, employment classifications, and mandatory training.
  • Ability to manage multiple HR functions and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HR software and payroll systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to inspire, engage, build trust, and motivate employees at all levels and act as a business partner
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support company objectives.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract, hire, and retain top talent in production, creative, and engineering roles.
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee benefits administration.
  • Lead onboarding/offboarding efforts, including employee cultural and compliance training.
  • Ensure full compliance with California employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, meal and rest break requirements, anti-harassment training mandates, and employee leave policies (e.g., CFRA, Paid Sick Leave, and PDL).
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in California/National labor laws and implement necessary HR adjustments.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and company culture programs.
  • Support training and development programs to maintain policy compliance and enhance team capabilities.
  • Work closely with company leadership to shape HR strategies that support business growth.
