Under broad supervision, provides HR support to business unit or corporate functional area which may include recruiting, selection, and staffing, employment and personnel documentation, job evaluation, compensation, and benefits. Acts as a liaison between departments/Companys, all levels of line and staff management, compensation and benefits department, legal counsel, and outside service providers. Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience.

  • Champion local HR process improvement and Corporate HR initiatives
  • Assist in identifying current and future manpower needs, and developing a hiring strategy to achieve those needs
  • Manage local recruitment and attendance management
  • Process hourly and salaried payroll at their respective intervals
  • Respond to employees’ inquiries and concerns
  • Administer on-boarding process and exit process
  • Manage hourly team member performance and maintain disciplinary records
  • Advance workplace morale and core values
  • Participate in the health and safety committee
  • Respond to urgent matters that could occur outside of business hours
  • Other related duties as assigned

Reporting to the Plant Manager with a dotted line to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources leader provides professional and responsive HR support to the Sarnia team through expertise in onboarding, attendance management, performance management, recognition and appreciation, full cycle recruitment, and compensation. The repair facility operates a two-shift operation at this time - response to members of both shifts will be required.
Pay Range:
81,000.00 - 99,000.00
