The Role
Job Purpose: The HR Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and managing all aspects of human resources within the company. This includes ensuring effective recruitment, employee development, compliance with labor laws, and driving strategic HR initiatives to support organizational growth. Necessary Requirements: Post Prerequisite: Education/Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum 10 years of experience in HR management within the chemical manufacturing sector. • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale HR operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Necessary Skills: • Strong understanding of HR issues, employment law, and regulatory requirements. • Proven supervisory skills, with the ability to lead and manage HR teams effectively. • High level of integrity and honesty in all dealings. • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. • Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver within deadlines. • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. Cross-Disciplinary Skills (HSE, Quality, Information Security): • Knowledge of QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment) standards and Information Security best practices adopted by the company. • Familiarity with company management systems (charts, procedures, instructions, etc.). • Linguistic proficiency in English is required; Arabic or Hindi proficiency is a plus. • Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external partners. Interpersonal and Professional Skills: • Effective communication and confidentiality handling. • Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive situations. • Patience, reactivity, and availability to handle HR-related challenges. • Analytical and strategic thinking, with a focus on both short-term and long-term HR objectives. Requirements
HR Strategy & Leadership: • Report to CMD on HR matters related to company operations and projects. • Drive HR initiatives that align with the strategic goals of the company. • Maintain job requirements and descriptions for all positions, updating as necessary to reflect business changes. • Work with senior management to set employee performance goals, work ethics, and personal development targets. Employee Management & Development: • Provide guidance on employee performance, career development, and personal development plans. • Expand training and development opportunities to align with the company’s growth and employee needs. • Lead or participate in HR-related projects aimed at improving employee performance and engagement. • Monitor compensation and benefits packages to remain competitive with UAE standards, ensuring retention of top talent. Compliance & Legal Responsibilities: • Ensure strict adherence to UAE labor laws, company policies, and international HR standards. • Oversee employee relations, providing guidance on issues, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews. • Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies. • Deploy and oversee health, safety, and environmental standards in line with QHSE requirements. Recruitment & Retention: • Lead recruitment efforts to attract and select qualified candidates for key positions within the company. • Manage employee screening processes and onboarding for new hires. • Provide necessary resources to management and employees to enable efficient and effective performance. • Ensure employee expectations are clearly communicated, and resources are provided for success in their roles. Employee Relations & Communication: • Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns and issues, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. • Conduct difficult conversations and manage employee relations issues with tact and professionalism. • Promote an open and transparent communication culture within the organization. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Supervise and manage the HR team, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities. • Assist the line manager in making improvements to HR practices and implementing changes as needed. • Liaise with external agencies regarding HR matters, maintaining strong relationships with labor contractors, recruitment agencies, and regulatory bodies. • Report on HR performance to senior management on a regular basis, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Performance & Reporting: • Manage performance evaluation processes according to UAE and company policies. • Maintain reporting systems that allow accurate tracking of HR activities, employee progress, and compliance. • Achieve personal and team targets and ensure alignment with overall business goals. Skills and Competencies: • Project Management: Ability to lead HR projects with a focus on delivering successful outcomes. • Stakeholder Management: Effective communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders. • Employee Safety & Wellbeing: Deep understanding of safety protocols and employee welfare programs. • Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges effectively and in a timely manner.
