The Human Resource Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and a passion for supporting employees throughout their employment lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters. Coordinate employee training and development programs. Support recruitment and talent acquisition efforts. Assist with performance management processes. Handle employee relations issues and conduct investigations as needed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. May substitute four (4) years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree. 3+ years of experience in a human resources role Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations Experience with HRIS systems and other HR technologies Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality Must be a U.S. Citizen Desired Skills: Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP). Experience in a government contracting environment. Knowledge of federal contractor compliance requirements (OFCCP, E-Verify, etc.).
