POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant performs a wide variety of administrative, clerical and organizational tasks, assuring the smooth functioning of the Human Resources Department. This work calls for the frequent use of good judgment regarding policies, procedures and respect for the confidentiality of information handled.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous HR experience and/or bachelor’s degree in human resources preferred.
  • 1+ years’ experience in a Human Resources Department.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Handle confidential information with the highest degree of Confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and reasoning to solve administrative issues.
  • Ability to execute assignments or projects with excellence and high degree of accuracy.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and professionalism to project a professional image, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated personal awareness and desire for continual learning and personal development.
  • Maintain composure during difficult situations and during high volume work period.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15).

Responsibilities
  • HRIS Management & Automation. Maintain human resources database and records by entering data from Employee Status Change forms. Ensure data integrity of HRIS and prepares ad hoc reports. Audit systems to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain human resources materials, including personnel files, new hire forms, I-9’s, W-4’s, manuals, and other documents to ensure that files are current, confidential, complete, and in compliance with company and government regulations and deadlines.
  • Conduct new employee orientation.
  • Provide administrative support for benefits (such as health, vision, dental, Life, etc.)
  • Assist with leave of absences and Workers’ Comp administration.
  • Support Training and Development programs, Events by scheduling and set up of conference rooms and vendor management as needed.
  • Supports the Human Resources Manager in all phases of the recruitment process; to include scheduling interviews, greeting job applicants
  • Explores new recruitment channels and gives recommendations to HR team.
  • Assist with Recruiting activities; post jobs, source and review resumes, conduct initial phone screen, schedule interview, administer evaluations and candidate management.
  • Coordinate employee programs and events.
  • Have an understanding of Company policies and procedures and be able to provide guidance to employees to assist them with HR-related needs.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with employees, managers and candidates.
  • Ability to manage time and to effectively handle a variety of tasks in an ever-changing environment.
  • Promote company values, culture and vision throughout the organization.
  • Communicates with all levels of current and former employees regarding any and all payroll related functions.
  • Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
