Are you looking for a role where you can make a real impact while growing your HR career? ECO Canada is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator to join our team. As a key member of the HR team, you will provide administrative support across all areas of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR systems. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and programs that enhance the employee experience at ECO Canada.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Professional and approachable, with aa focus on confidentiality and providing exceptional service.
  • Motivated self-starter with a willingness to adapt and learn.
  • Demonstrated administrative experience in an HR or office environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certifications (e.g., CPHR, HR Business Management) are an asset.
  • Experience with tasks such as maintaining employee records, preparing HR documentation, and supporting recruitment activities.
  • Familiarity with the environmental sector is an asset but not required.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage the HR and Job Board inboxes, responding or redirecting inquiries as appropriate.
  • Contribute to recruitment efforts: draft job postings, screen applications, participate in interviews, and complete reference checks.
  • Coordinate departmental onboarding and 101 presentations.
  • Organize, maintain, and update employee files and HR documentation in compliance with internal processes and legal requirements.
  • Manage employee recognition programs, including Cause for Applause.
  • Regularly update the ECO Staff Landing Page with relevant resources and information.
  • Draft and prepare HR documents such as letters, forms, reports, and memos.
  • Conduct employee orientation sessions and prepare onboarding packages for new hires.
  • Provide support for HR-related inquiries, ensuring professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Assist with company-wide engagement programs and initiatives to strengthen workplace culture.
  • Help develop and deliver training presentations and materials for staff.
  • Support HR projects and services, including the Job Board.
