Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc. (Youthab) requires a Human Resources Administrator in its Belleville office to support the human resources needs of the agency. This is a part-time permanent position offering vacation time, sick time, group insurance and pension plan working 21 hours per week, with the possibility of full-time working 35 hours per week.

We support, connect, and empower people to obtain and maintain safe and affordable housing, good mental health, and employment facilitating their transition to independence. Our programs operate under the names of Youthab, Career Edge, and Next Step Housing Connection.

QUALIFICATIONS

· University degree in human resources or a related field
· Certified Human Resources Professional designation
· A minimum of three years’ experience in human resources
· Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle

Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Director with the human resources function of the agency
  • Prepare new and update existing human resources and administration policies and procedures
  • Assist with all stages of the hiring process including preparing job postings and job descriptions, interviewing candidates with the program manager/supervisor, reviewing employment agreements and addendums to employment agreements, and conducting reference checks on behalf of the program manager/supervisor
  • Conduct exit interviews with departing staff and prepare an annual summary report
  • Provide guidance to the leadership team and employees regarding employee inquiries
  • Provide guidance to the leadership team on confidential and sensitive personnel matters
  • Revise employee performance evaluation forms and orientation checklists
  • Coordinate annual staff training that is required by the agency
  • Prepare and deliver acknowledgement letters to employees in response to leaves of absence
