POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Advisor plays a role in supporting and guiding the organization’s HR functions. This position provides consultation, coaching, and operational assistance across a broad spectrum of human resources programs and initiatives. The Advisor works closely with Director, Human Resources particularly in areas related to the CUPE portfolio, including collective agreement administration, grievance resolution, and participation in labour negotiations. The HR Advisor contributes to strategic HR initiatives such as talent development, recruitment and retention, labour relations and performance management. A key focus of the role is fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment by building strong relationships with staff and partners, promoting best practices, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and student learning outcomes.
