Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This is a part-time position (0.6FTE) commencing 1 September or by negotiation with six weeks annual leave and an additional five days leave over Christmas and New Year period.
Great Southern Grammar is seeking a proactive and experienced HR Advisor to join the Great Southern Grammar community. You will support a thriving educational environment by providing operational and advisory support to the Principal, Head of Business Operations and Executive Assistant to the Principal and staff on HR related matters, workplace relations, industrial relations, staff well-being and staff performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide HR advice and guidance;

  • Support recruitment, onboarding and retention strategies;
  • Assist with employee relations and staff well-being and performance management;
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and school policies; and
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement.

Proven experience in an HR advisory role;

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism; and
  • Tertiary qualification or study in Human Resource Management is desirable
