THE ROLE

MAK Water are seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our Human Resources team in a permanent, full-time role.. This position plays a key role in assisting HR Operations, supporting strategic people and culture initiatives, workplace culture, and managing the recruitment and onboarding of staff .

Reporting to the Group Human Resources & Quality Manager, core duties include for MAK Water and Water Treatment Services:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes , including advertising, selection, pre-employment checks, and documentation
  • Coordinate and monitor employee performance management processes, including probationary and six-monthly performance reviews, and support managers in their delivery including disciplinary issues
  • Maintain accurate employee records, training registers, internal training modules, and compliance documentation within system.
  • Deliver and coordinate internal and external training activities, including monthly face-to-face training and the development of organisational training modules
  • Provide operational HR support to managers and supervisors, including performance management, conflict resolution, employee development, and HR best-practice advice
  • Support broader organisational and office operations, reporting, and engagement initiatives, including HR reporting, organisational chart updates, uniforms, events, team building, and office services coordination
  • Other administration duties as required

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS


To be successful in this role, you will bring strong HR technical expertise, people and capability experience, and a proactive mindset.

You will have:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Organisational Development ( Certificate IV or higher)
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a HR functionality within a medium to large organisation, with experience in Industrial Relations, Contracts and HR Reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and report writing skills
  • Ability to build relationships with Managers and staff and become a trusted advisor.
  • The ability to work in a face paced environment with competing priorities
  • Advanced Microsoft Suites – Excel and Word is essential, with experience in training management software
  • The ability to think on your feet, have a "people and culture" mindset and be solutions focussed.
