We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Human Resources professional to join the site-based HR team at our Thunderbox Operations in the Northern Goldfields. This permanent and full-time opportunity will work an ongoing 8 days on & 6 days off roster, flying in /out of Perth.
Reporting to the HR Superintendent, this role will provide a genuine opportunity to learn and further develop your career, working alongside experienced and passionate industry professionals in a dynamic and outcome focused environment.
What you can look forward to
- Provide thorough advice and support to leaders on employment and industrial relations matters.
- Partner with site leadership teams to drive employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Be the primary point of contact for employee and manager HR and payroll enquiries,monitoring and responding promptly to the centralised inbox.
- Support employee investigations and issue resolution using a proactive, risk-based approach.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Manage employee contract variations, site transfers, and HR data integrity to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- With support, facilitate leadership development programs and deliver HR-related training and presentations.
Where you'll add value:
- Experience in a similar HR role, ideally within the resources sector.
- Experience working FIFO at a remote site location would be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication & people skills, with the ability to collaborate, negotiate & influence across all levels of site stakeholders.
- Flexible & adaptable to changing priorities, you are extremely well organised, with strong time management skills & an excellent attention to detail.
- Solutions focused, you possess strong analytical & problem-solving skills & thrive in a dynamic & outcomes focused environment.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality & professionalism at all times.
Qualifications / Technical:
- Hold a Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.
- Strong computer skills & literacy across the MS Office Suite, ideally with experience using SAP Success Factors or similar HRIS.
- A solid working knowledge of HR ‘best practice', with a sound understanding of current legislation, including; the Fair Work Act 2009, National Employment Standards (NES), the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2011 and anti-discrimination legislation.
- A sufficient understanding of employee relations and industrial relations as well as enterprise agreement/award interpretation.
- Hold a valid ‘C class' Drivers Licence.
