POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional designation is an asset.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Training in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion is also an asset.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar Human Resource role, preferably in an inter-professional setting and/or a not-for-profit organization.
Responsibilities

You are friendly, helpful and resourceful, knowledgeable about employment legislation, and enjoy supporting management to hire and retain productive, satisfied staff. As a Human Resources Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the human resource functions of the Center align with current legislation and best practices, while supporting the organization’s mission, vision, values, and strategic goals. As a trusted advisor, this role provides HR guidance, support, and expertise to managers and staff, helping foster a positive workplace culture and addressing HR needs across various functional areas, including legislative compliance and policy development, recruiting, orientation and retention, compensation, leaves and benefits, employee relations, and performance management.
