JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a proactive and organized Human Resources & Culture Strategist to direct key aspects of our workforce and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. You will work closely with the Operations Manager, Project Manager and Site Supervisors for continuously improving the employee culture. This role is critical in fostering a positive and productive workplace by overseeing hiring and firing processes, boosting team morale, creating a positive work culture, resolving employee issues, streamlining communications, and creating leadership strategies and training. This role champions the company’s values and vision, playing a key role in shaping and maintaining a thriving organizational culture aligned with strategic goals The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, empathetic leader, and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Proven experience in human resources, operations management, or a related role.
· Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
· Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
· Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
· Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
· Construction/Industrial/Civil Experience an asset.
This position requires weekly in person meetings in Golden, BC. Canditates must live locally or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities
  1. Hiring & Onboarding
    o Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
    o Screen, interview, and assess candidates to ensure alignment with company values and job requirements.
    o Facilitate smooth onboarding processes, ensuring new hires are welcomed, trained, and integrated effectively into the team.
  2. Employee Relations & Morale
    o Act as a trusted advisor to management and staff on employee relations, providing guidance and resolution strategies for workplace issues; manages the progressive discipline process, including verbal and written warnings, up to and including terminations
    o Develop initiatives and programs to enhance team morale, engagement, and retention.
    o Mediate conflicts and provide guidance to resolve interpersonal or workplace issues fairly and efficiently.
  3. Performance Management & Terminations
    o Support managers in conducting performance reviews and setting achievable employee goals.
    o Collaborate with leadership to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
    o Handle termination processes with professionalism and adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
  4. Communication & Coordination
    o Maintain clear and consistent communication with employees regarding policies, procedures, and company updates.
    o Facilitate employee feedback channels and ensure suggestions or concerns are addressed.
    o Support leadership in aligning team goals with the company’s overall objectives.
  5. Training & Management Support
    o Foster a culture of professional growth and learning at all operational levels.
    o Coordinate with department heads to address operational needs, staffing adjustments and staff training opportunities.
    o Actively participate in and promote workplace culture events, setting an example of enthusiasm and engagement and always modeling the company values.
