Job Title: Human Resources Assistant
Reporting to: Vice President, Human Resources

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in an HR support, coordination, or administration role.
  • Proficient with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and time/attendance systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities
  • Support the HR team across all functional areas, including HR operations, employee relations, compliance, market research and talent acquisition.
  • Administer and maintain HR systems, including HRIS (e.g., Workday & Citations), attendance tracking platforms, and electronic personnel files.
  • Coordinate aspects of the recruitment process, including resume screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and communication with candidates.
  • Ensure timely and accurate onboarding and offboarding documentation, system updates, and compliance requirements.
  • Organize and maintain employee records in accordance with privacy regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide administrative support to the Vice President, Human Resources, including calendar management, travel coordination, and meeting preparation.
  • Record and prepare accurate minutes for HR and cross-functional meetings.
  • Compile, analyze, and report on HR metrics to support workforce planning, compliance tracking, and business decisions.
  • Assist in coordinating employee engagement initiatives, training logistics, and internal HR communications.
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
