Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline and / or equivalent combination of education and experience in a human resource service function with experience in a unionized environment.
  • Considerable experience as a recruitment specialist including demonstrated effectiveness at proactive outreach and placement for demanding positions.
  • Considerable experience with contemporary talent sourcing techniques including social recruitment (i.e. Linked In; mobile recruitment, etc.)
  • Experience in developing and executing recruitment solutions to address current and emerging workforce challenges, especially those related to competing for high demand talent in a competitive market

Responsibilities

As an integral member of the Human Resources team, this position will support our growing organization with building partnerships in different departments to understand and support their recruitment needs. As a member of the HR Team, we focus on developing relationships at all levels within the organization, to support a valuable working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Source and screen resumes; coordinate and participate in interview schedules and provide recommendations for hiring opportunities for external job positions
  • Maintain and create internal and external job postings on CLNH’s website, as well as employment recruitment sites
  • Organize job postings files and interviews for internal positions
  • Assist in the development of recruitment planning tools and processes to support immediate and longer term staffing initiatives
  • Research new and emerging talent sources and identified methods for reaching and engaging candidates in a changing market
  • Support in retention management and planning
  • Participate and conduct regular orientation and onboarding sessions for new employees
  • Participate in discussion to identify existing gaps and make recommendations for improvement of recruitment and orientation processes
  • Provide administrative support to maintain training requirements
  • Liaise with Colleges and Universities for student placement opportunities
  • Participate, organize and facilitate scheduled job fairs
  • Maintain and update HRIS and reports and update our HR Metrics reporting
