Description Job Title: Human Resources Assistant Department Name: Human Resources Reports to (title): Human Resources Manager Job Summary: Responsible for assisting the HR Manager and HR team members with all office clerical functions. This role will assist with all HR related functions and will support facility leadership team with the following functions: Recruiting and Retention, Time Recording and Employee leaves, Benefits plans such as dental, vision, life insurance, short-and-long-term disability. This position requires professional skills in general organization and task management, oral and written communication in English and Spanish, and time management. Essential Job Functions: Assists HR Manager with all HR related issues, paperwork, company events and special projects. Assists employees daily with issues and questions. Assists with recruitment such as reviewing and forwarding resumes and assisting with the entire interview process and maintain a weekly communication with Corporate about posting ads and open/close positions. Preparing communications to inform newly eligible and current employees about benefits enrollment times. Maintain all employee records – assuring they are completed accurately, filed, scanned, retained and/or destroyed according to all federal, state, and local laws. Orientate and completes paperwork and/or electronic process for new hires. Set up new hires in Paylocity system. Administration of employee engagement initiative. Enrolling employees on the time clocks. Preparing all paperwork for employee enrollments, terminations, and changes. Coordinates and communicates with Corporate all leave requests, including Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), Short- and Long-Term disability requests and maintains record-keeping and leave tracking as appropriate. Coordinate and master the onboarding process for new hires. Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, records, and company information. General filing and administrative duties that relate to HR management. Performs exit interviews. Maintains all employee records – assuring they are completed accurately, filed, retained and/or destroyed according to all federal, state and local laws. This includes but is not limited to I-9’s. Support the company annual employee review process. Serves as contact person to address employee questions relating to all HR related items. Assists General Manager and Plant Manager as needed with issues and special projects. Assist in other duties as needed. Requirements Qualifications: 1-3 years of Human Resources experience, preferably within a manufacturing facility. Associate completed or some college credits preferred, BA or HR. Proficient knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred), and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed. Abilities required: Bilingual (English /Spanish) required. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be detail oriented and very well organized.
