STARTING HOURLY RATE: $21.00 - $22.00 - 20 HOURS/WEEKLY

Position Summary:
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will perform administrative support and clerical duties for the Human Resources department. This position will assist with the general human resources functions including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, maintenance of personnel files, performance appraisal tracking, audits, correspondence and recordkeeping. This position will work under the direction of the Director of Human Resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED required. A.A. preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience in performing Human Resources functions.
  • High proficiency and knowledge of human resources administration.
  • Strong background in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of HR software such as ADP HRIS system.
  • Attentive to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all HR operations.
  • Ability to multi-task varying responsibilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • Able to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to Human Resources to support day-to-day human resources operations.
  • Post job announcements internally and external job sites, ensuring a diversity of candidates have access to the agency job postings.
  • Conduct reference checks following HR procedures.
  • Assist with the new employee orientation and on-boarding by preparing new hire packages and coordination of new hire orientation meetings.
  • Prepare, edit and send correspondences and documents.
  • Create and review HR forms (PDF, Word Fill, etc.).
  • Organize, compile, update agency personnel records and documentation.
  • Maintain employee files and documentation in compliance with agency policies and labor regulations.
  • Assist in updating internal HR tracking systems and audit preparation.
  • Support the development and improvement of HR processes and procedures.
  • Assist in entering new hires in the ADP WFN HRIS system as needed.
  • Serve as the backup for the New Hire Orientation.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
