SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Coordinator supports the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of services in compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting training administration, coordinating payroll setup, managing employee inquiries, and contributing to the effective use of the HRIS. The HR Coordinator also plays a key role in compliance reporting, process improvement, and supporting employee engagement initiatives.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, but not required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Human Resources department, with demonstrated experience in a specialist or coordinator-level role.
  • Bilingual Preferred
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information in the HRIS and other platforms.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and HR system support.
  • Monitor and audit training systems to ensure completion and accuracy of employee training records.
  • Partners with departments lead to track and ensure timely completion of required training.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, including ETP compliance.
  • Support workers’ compensation administration and maintain OSHA logs.
  • Ensures completion of onboarding tasks and payroll setup for new employees
  • Submit temporary employee timecards to staffing agencies.
  • Track attendance points and manage employee calendar entries.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; complete all required documentation and reports.
  • Ensure legal posting are up to date and reflect current regulations
  • Proper reporting and tracking of monthly KPI’s
  • Coordinate employee exits, final pay, and initiate termination workflow
  • Maintain personnel files
  • Updates PTO calendars daily.
  • Support benefit education efforts, including coordinating Lunch & Learns.
  • Assist with employee training in HR policies and systems as needed.
  • Prepares weekly payroll and collaborates with the accounting team to ensure accurate timecard approvals and timely processing.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for receiving and addressing employee questions, concerns, and escalated issues.
  • Participate in planning and execution of employee events.
  • Serve as a point of contact for HRIS, time clock system, and related troubleshooting.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed and implemented appropriately.
  • Perform additional duties and projects assigned.
