Balances team and individual responsibilities, objective and open to other’s views, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to positive team goals, puts success of team above own interest. Respectful of all individuals and maintains confidentiality. Demonstrates adequate knowledge of staffing, benefits and human resource policies/procedures as needed. Promotes image of the department and hospitals when receiving visitors and telephone calls; appropriately provides assistance, and/or directs customers to correct source as needed. Assists and performs various functions related to an HR office. These duties include but are not limited to; data entry and processing of employee information and changes, running queries in HRIS system, preparing packets for new employee orientation, ID badges, typing, ordering supplies, sorting mail, running and distributing reports, delivering items to other departments, copying, faxing, filing and shredding. Works closely with co-workers to coordinate processing of employment documentation (health screens, I-9, post hire checklist), pay cards, and other benefits. Typically responsible for employee files and overall recordkeeping of employee records, either in paper or electronic form. Assists with departmental projects. Provides departmental coverage as needed. Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. Demonstrates the knowledge that employee and workplace safety is a priority. Qualifications Education: HS diploma or equivalent required Associate’s degree with some college coursework in human resources or related field preferred Experience: One year administrative experience in an office, clinic, or department required Experience working in a human resource department preferred Experience in a hospital, clinic, physician’s office or healthcare setting preferred
