Overview
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the human resources department as needed, including record-keeping and file maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions;
  • Conducts new hire orientations;
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files as needed;
  • Assists with new-employee background checks and new hire orientation;
  • Assists with locker maintenance and uniform requests;
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process;
  • Participates in company recruiting events on site and off site as needed;
  • Makes photocopies, mails, scans and emails documents, and performs other clerical functions;
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files;
  • Prepares correspondence as requested;
  • Prepares new-employee files and closes out terminated employee files;
  • Covers the front reception desk as needed;
  • Perform other required tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • At least one year of related experience required;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite as well as Microsoft Teams;
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus;
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
