We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our Human Resources team in Mulgrave, VIC!


What you will be doing

Employment Policies and Regulations

  • Develop, review, and update HR policies to align with regulations and company standards.
  • Ensure employees are informed of and comply with company policies.
  • Resolve employee relations issues through mediation and dispute resolution.
  • Keep policies and processes adaptable to market and regulatory changes.

Recruitment

  • Partner with department managers on recruitment for all roles, including Rank & File.
  • Develop and refine job descriptions to support a smooth hiring process.
  • Design and execute effective recruitment strategies and process improvements.
  • Supervise the recruitment team to ensure efficient, compliant interviewing and screening.

Employment Contract Management

  • Propose competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent.
  • Ensure contract templates meet regulatory and policy requirements, and issue timely offers.
  • Oversee onboarding, including training and orientation for new hires.
  • Notify relevant departments of new employee arrivals.

Employee Development and Training

  • Develop a training plan to build skills and support career development.
  • Help managers identify technical training needs for the training budget.
  • Manage implementation and evaluation of training programs.
  • Drive performance management and employee development plans.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and submit HR management and statutory reports to support decision-making.
  • Analyze employee and HR data to inform workforce planning and cost control.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to management on HR strategy.
