Job Purpose   The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function, with a focus on payroll coordination, HR records management, and employee administration. This role supports accurate payroll processing, maintains employee data and documentation, assists with HR programs and compliance activities, and helps ensure efficient day-to-day HR operations.   Key Responsibilities    Payroll & Statutory Support * Support monthly regional payroll processing in collaboration with outsourced payroll providers. * Compile and prepare payroll information, including commissions, leave records, allowances, deductions, and payroll adjustments. * Review payroll reports and highlight discrepancies for correction. * Maintain payroll records, reports, and related documentation. * Coordinate statutory submissions and liaise with relevant government agencies when required. * Assist with year-end payroll and tax-related activities. HR Administration * Monitor employees leave records and ensure accurate updates in the HR system. Prepare leave reports and support payroll-related leave administration. * Support onboarding activities, including collection of new hire documents and employee data updates. * Maintain and update employee records and personnel files in compliance with company requirements. * Assist in the administration of employee insurance and benefits matters. * Provide day-to-day HR administrative support and respond to employee enquiries. * Support employee engagement activities, HR initiatives, and general office administrative duties when required. * Utilize AI-enabled tools (e.g., chatbots, documentation automation, analytics assistants) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and streamline routine tasks while following company AI governance and data privacy standards. HR Compliance & Audit Support * Assist in HR-related audits and ensure proper documentation is maintained. * Support compliance with company policies and local labour regulations.   While the job description describes what is anticipated as the requirements of the position, the job requirements are subject to change based upon any changing needs and requirements of the business.
