Would you like to be part of a vibrant and successful organisation? To feel part of a team that is making a real difference to the lives and communities of Merthyr Tydfil?
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an experienced HR Administrator to join our Corporate Services team to support the HR Manager. This is a permanent, part-time role of 20 hours, ideally working across 4 or 5 days a week. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to build on and further develop their current HR experience across all ‘people related’ activities.
The role will provide a comprehensive HR administrative service to the Association, supporting the HR Manager on a daily basis, and being the first point of contact for general HR administrative queries. There is an expectation that the majority of working hours will be in the office, although there will be some flexibility to allow for home-working as well.
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will be an experienced HR administrator with demonstrable experience of using their initiative to help ensure the HR function delivers a first-class service.
You will have excellent attention to detail and be an organised administrator, ensuring all appropriate deadlines are met consistently. You will also have excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships with fellow employees across the Association as well as with other stakeholders?.
Social housing experience would be useful, however it’s more important that you have HR experience to draw on, which will allow you to hit the ground running and make a positive difference.
We recognise the value that diversity can bring to our organisation, and we undertake a review of our staff diversity to identify areas of underrepresentation. We therefore particularly wish to encourage and welcome applications from Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and diverse nationality candidates. At least two candidates from these backgrounds, who also meet the essential criteria will be guaranteed an interview at Stage 1. We identify candidates from these groups by requesting all candidates complete and submit an equality monitoring form with their application. If candidates decline to submit an equality monitoring form, their application will be assessed and shortlisted against the essential criteria alongside everyone else and they may / may not be selected for interview.
If you are interested in applying for this post, please visit our website where you’ll find a full job description, application form and equality monitoring form. Our website also provides further details on how we approach equality and diversity in recruitment.
All application forms, along with a completed equality monitoring form and covering letter should be emailed to our dedicated email address.
The closing date for applications is midday on Tuesday 29th April 2025.
Interviews are planned to take place at the MTHA offices during w/c 12th May or 19th May 2025.
