JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to join our client’s Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will support a variety of HR functions, including employee onboarding, maintaining HR records and updating HR policies and documents, with a specific emphasis on experience updating and maintaining the employee handbook and related internal documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in human resources or administrative roles.
  • Proven experience updating and maintaining employee handbooks and HR policy documents.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and relevant labor laws.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in day-to-day HR operations and provide administrative support to the HR department.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Assist in the development, review, and regular updating of the employee handbook, ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
  • Update and maintain HR policies, procedures, forms, and templates.
  • Assist with responding to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Help coordinate HR-related training sessions and meetings.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
