Description The Human Resources Assistant (HRA) performs a variety of routine tasks such as maintaining records, compiling statistics, data entry, and processing employment applications. The HRA furnishes employee information to authorized persons and assists employees on matters regarding personnel forms, records, and procedures. Location: 800 W Court St. Pasco, WA Schedule: M - F 8am - 5pm Requirements Minimum Education and Work Experience - 1 to 2 years of clerical experience required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. Any combination of education and experience which would provide the candidate with the preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job. Preferred Work Experience - Experience in a union environment preferred. Licenses/Certifications - None required. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities - Ability to write and speak clearly and concisely to express ideas and recommendations effectively, both orally and in writing. General skills in Microsoft Office suite and ability to develop proficiency in enterprise software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to identify, organize, and prioritize several ongoing and frequently changing assignments to meet deadlines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job ads, screening resumes, supporting interviews, and coordinating hiring processes. Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Support the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees. Assist in administering HR policies and procedures. Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and provide assistance. Process paperwork for new hires, terminations, and employee changes. Assist in benefits administration and open enrollment processes. Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events, and maintain calendars. Help prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides. Ensure compliance with labor regulations. Provide administrative support to HR executives and other departments as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. WAGE - $28.10 - $40.25 / hour
