The Human Resource Assistant provides key administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Vanguard EMS, Inc. is in the service business. What you’ll do: Benefit Administration. Full-cycle recruiting. Track, document and follow-up on action required to manage employee attendance program. Perform new hire, job change, and benefits orientations as needed while managing all paperwork. Train personnel on company policies/processes. Respond to unemployment claims, requests for information and references as needed. Lead and/or participate in team projects and the implementation of company events. Performs other duties as assigned. What you’ll need: Displays a high-level critical thinking and analysis. Ability to actively follow detailed directions written and verbal. Demonstrated highly motivated strong leadership and teambuilding skills with self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a “hands on” mentality. Advanced level of proficiency in computer systems. Demonstrated self-management and strong problem-solving skills. Detail oriented, accuracy, and thoroughness required. Excellent communication in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive and always in a professional manner. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent 1 year HR or Administrative experience Preferred Qualifications Experience and skills in managing Employees Relations including counseling and internal investigations.
