Human Resources Assistant - Launceston - £26,000
Well Placed HR are delighted to have been re-engaged by a long standing client, a large manufacturing business operating on a national scale. The company benefits from a sizable and highly experienced people management function but due to continued growth, now seeks to recruit an HR Assistant to join the team. The role is offered as a full time, permanent contract to be based at the company HQ in Launceston, with some short distance travel required between sites.

Working as part of a friendly and efficient function, the new HR Assistant will enjoy a broad and interesting role that will allow the successful candidate develop their people management skills. Responsibilities to include:

  • Act as first point of contact for HRM queries, assisting directors, managers and colleagues throughout the business
  • Assist the senior HR team in ongoing people management projects and streamlining of existing practices
  • Assist in all aspects of employee document filing and updates
  • Play a lead role in developing and implementing high quality recruitment initiatives
  • Assist with all aspects of onboarding
  • Collate time management/payroll information working closely with the company’s finance function
  • Assist in the implementation of a wide range of health and wellbeing initiatives

For this role we seek a down to earth and motivated HR Assistant, either with experienced gained in HRM or with a strong desire to develop a career in people management. The business is highly technology driven throughout so good general IT/MS Office experience essential, as will be the aptitude to quickly adapt to new digital HRM systems. The successful candidate will be a “recognised face” across all areas of the business and will require exceptional communication, diplomacy and team working skills with a positive “let’s fix this” attitude to their work.
