Description

Turf Valley Resorts is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Benefits & Talent Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role combines expertise in benefits administration with a passion for recruiting and onboarding, ensuring our employees feel supported from their first interaction through every stage of their career.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in benefits administration and/or recruiting
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws related to benefits and hiring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in hospitality or resort industry
  • Familiarity with UKG or similar HR platforms
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Responsibilities

Benefits Administration

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee benefit programs, including:
  • 401(k) retirement plans, FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), STD (Short-Term Disability), Worker’s Compensation
  • Administer benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Educate employees on benefit offerings and assist with claims, forms, and provider communications
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Support annual open enrollment and coordinate with benefit vendors
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries regarding COBRA, ACA, and other regulatory requirements

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

  • Partner with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop job postings
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates to ensure alignment with Turf Valley’s culture and standards
  • Coordinate interview schedules and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure a smooth candidate experience from application to offer
