Could you be the full-time onsite Human Resources Business Partner in New Haven, CT we’re looking for?

We’ll look to you for:

  • You’ll specifically take care of supporting your customers in the New Haven, CT geographic area to shape and deploy the business goals as defined by the management team, but also deploying the site People Plan, including Organizational Capabilities, Talent Management, Labor and Employee Relations, Leadership Development, and Building Strong Teams across the Value Chain.,
  • Analyzing current organizational capabilities to deliver the business strategy and identifying and acting on gaps versus required capabilities. ,
  • Supporting change programs, organizational effectiveness, development, and fostering a high-performance culture, including bids and project support. ,
  • Ensuring the right talent is in the right place at the right time by coaching leaders on talent-related tools, supporting talent reviews, and mobilizing high potentials. ,
  • Supporting talent reviews, competency assessments, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning. ,
  • Acting as a lead for mobilizing a new site, collaborating with Talent Acquisition and HR Operations to effectively onboard employees to the site for a new contract/customer. ,
  • Administering FLSA testing and reviewing qualifications with job descriptions for all positions

You’ll shape and deploy business goals, drive organizational effectiveness, and build strong teams across the Value Chain. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Business Leaders), support leadership development initiatives, and much more.

  • Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Psychology, or other relevant field ,
  • Experience or understanding of resolving complex employee relations issues and labor relations activities, including grievance handling and communication with union representatives ,
  • Knowledge of HR and People Strategies, People Management, and experience in a unionized environment ,
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADAAA, and Railway Labor Act (an asset) ,
  • Certifications for Human Resources Professionals (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) ,
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written) ,
  • Ability to analyze organizational capabilities and identify gaps to support business strategy ,
  • Skills in coaching leaders, talent reviews, and succession planning ,
  • Experience in leadership development and fostering high-performance culture
