We are recruiting a fantastic career opportunity as a HR Business Partner to support our Residential Care HR Team on a full-time maximum term basis for 12 months.
The purpose of this very rewarding role is to build strong relationships and trust with leaders, employees and colleagues, providing HR expertise and coaching on all people matters and contributing to positive cultural change that supports the delivery of safe, person centred care to Anglicare’s clients at site level. The role supports Residential Care Homes across the Greater Western Sydney region.

The role’s key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Guide and assist managers on following due process and Anglicare policies and procedures when addressing performance management and misconduct matters, to mitigate risks of non-compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Lead consultations with employees and unions around workplace change
  • Support and guide managers on-site on how to address day-to-day performance management matters (misconduct, grievances & complaints, underperformance, engagement etc) within their teams to influence managers to take responsibility for empowering their teams and holding them accountable.
  • Provide expert guidance on the implementation of HR policies and procedures and monitor mandatory compliance requirements (probity checks, training) supporting managers to address non-compliance.
  • Support line managers deal with organisational, people, and change-related matters
  • Work together with management and employees to solve conflict and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintain a good working environment, build morale, and increase retention.
  • Identity and recommend improvements relating to HR policies and processes, to increase operational efficiencies whilst meeting legislative requirements and adopting industry best practice.

Your qualifications, experience and competencies should include a formal qualification OR relevant work experience in Human Resources with 5+ years’ experience in a HRBP role. Demonstrated HR generalist experience across functions including IR/ER relations, performance management, organisational development, talent and succession planning, change management and HRIS reporting and systems usage.
The successful incumbent must have demonstrated planning and execution skills with the ability to deliver change initiatives and lead consultation processes, current knowledge of employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements regarding people management, to help leaders comply with obligations and due process, and strong influencing, management, team building, negotiation, and communication skills.
