Job Description: The position primarily supports a key segment of our Resources Industries portfolio, customer coverage across AP and EAME territories, working as part of a global diverse team driving our people strategy. This position will report to the Senior Human Resources Manager based in Newcastle Australia. Principle duties and responsibilities: As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will perform a variety of HR duties of moderate complexity, allowing you the autonomy to apply demonstrated knowledge of HR policies and procedures. Responsibilities vary, but may include any of the following: Provide direction and guidance to employees and leaders in the interpretation and application of employee-related policies, practices and procedures, as well as laws if applicable. Be a trusted advisor to the leadership team within the Resource Industries group Ability to lead local and global projects on people matters. In partnership with leaders, provide talent development solutions to improve employee engagement, leadership acumen and business results. Assist managers in addressing individual and organisational effectiveness issues. Partner with our talent attraction team and hiring managers to source top talent Qualifications: University degree or equivalent experience in a related field. Prior working experience in Human Resources function Must be proficient in the full MS office suite Experience with Workday will be an advantage Top candidates will have the following skills and attributes: Labour law and regulations governing the Human Resources function. Sound understanding of human resources policies, practices, and procedures. Effective communicator with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation. Excellent customer service. Demonstrated ability to analyse situations, make decisions and take measured risks using available data as well as insight. Proven ability to maintain high-level of confidentiality and dealing with sensitive issues. Understanding of total rewards strategies including unique benefits applying to mine sites in Australia.
