    Job Description
    The HR Business Partner works in close partnership with leaders to translate business needs into practical, people-focused solutions. By combining strong relationship-building skills with a results-driven, solution-oriented approach, the HRBP plays a pivotal role in developing talent, fostering engagement, and enabling organizational success. Supporting a dedicated client group, this position also collaborates extensively with the Commercial HR team and the wider HR function to ensure cohesive and consistent support across the business.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or a related discipline required.
  • CPHR/CHRP designation is an asset.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources with exposure to a cross-section of HR activity required.
  • Experience and proficiency with HRIS or HCM related systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various Provincial Legislation (Employment Standards, Human Rights, Occupational Health & Safety, WSIB, WCB, etc.)
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Manufacturing, Building Products or related industry experience preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with leaders to deliver the people and organizational strategy, providing trusted advice, coaching, and practical solutions to business and team challenges.
  • Execute talent strategies, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and development, to ensure the right people are in the right roles.
  • Identify and deliver learning and development opportunities aligned with functional and leadership competencies.
  • Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives informed by survey insights, fostering a high-performance, inclusive environment.
  • Deliver HR operations and compliance, including core processes, policy guidance, workplace investigations, and leave/claims management.
  • Administer compensation practices and HR systems, ensuring consistency and competitiveness while leveraging HRIS data for insights and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with HR COEs to deliver comprehensive, efficient support to the business.
  • Champion continuous improvement across all HR programs, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and employee experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to various company locations in Canada.
