The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a crucial role in driving strategic HR initiatives by working alongside clients to develop and deliver innovative people solutions that support faculty, staff, and leadership in achieving institutional excellence. While providing comprehensive guidance and support on all HR matters related to the Collective Agreements. The HR Business Partner influences people strategy, shape organizational culture, and contributes to an environment where academic and administrative excellence thrives. As trusted partner to the leadership of the university the HRBP oversees and takes ownership of the service delivery for all HR programs and services for their assigned client group. This encompasses a range of responsibilities, expertise and proactive approaches to ensure smooth operations and adherence to contractual agreements while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Will possess a bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • HR professional with five (5) years related HRBP role or senior HR role generalist experience preferably in a Union environment.
  • Strong strategic thinker who can align HR initiatives with institutional priorities.
  • Excellent relationship-builder with coaching skills to guide university leaders.
  • An individual with expertise in workforce planning, talent management, and change leadership.
  • A collaborative, forward-thinking HR leader who thrives in a complex, fast-paced environment. Experienced HR project manager with the ability to deliver HR solutions that drive business outcomes
    Salary Range: $79,860 - $111,805
Responsibilities

The following are key responsibilities, but not limited to, the position:

  • Partner with university leaders to develop and execute strategic workforce plans.
  • Coach and advise managers on leadership, performance management, and team development.
  • Provide HR expertise in employee relations, workplace culture, and compliance.
  • Support innovative talent acquisition, retention, and diversity strategies.
  • Deliver exceptional HR client support and manage key HR projects to drive transformation.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with managers and employees.
