Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with management, drive employee engagement and ensure smooth, policy-driven HR operations across our client's business.

This is a commercially focused role for someone who is confident working with stakeholders and can provide pragmatic, trusted HR advice across the employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in supporting managers, strengthening HR processes and creating a high-trust environment where employees can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, review and maintain clear HR policies and operational guidelines across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Maintain and update HR guidelines in line with changes to UK employment law, GDPR requirements and internal audit standards.
  • Provide trusted advice and guidance to managers and senior stakeholders on day-to-day HR matters, employee relations, performance management and fair employment practices.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, using effective stakeholder management to understand challenges and provide commercially focused HR solutions.
  • Lead and advise on disciplinary proceedings, grievances and formal investigations, facilitating mediation where appropriate.
  • Support managers with performance management processes, including objective setting, development planning and addressing underperformance.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and provide insight on market rates, remuneration and reward to support competitive and consistent pay practices.
  • Coordinate company-wide feedback channels and engagement surveys, analysing results and developing meaningful action plans.
  • Work closely with Health & Safety to manage long-term absence, return-to-work plans and proactive employee wellbeing initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to promote incentive structures and maximise engagement with employee benefit schemes.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives that improve employee engagement, retention and overall people performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar commercial HR Business Partner role within a growing or scaling organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships and influence managers and senior leaders.
  • Strong practical knowledge of UK employment law and experience managing complex employee relations matters.
  • Proven experience supporting and delivering effective performance management processes.
  • Experience of salary benchmarking, remuneration reviews and broader reward initiatives.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or above is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and active listening skills, with a structured and solution-focused approach to problem solving.
  • A commercially minded approach, with the ability to balance employee needs with wider business objectives.
