Our passion for our craft fuels every project we touch.   JOB OVERVIEW The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) reports to the Manager, Human Resources (based in Kelowna, BC) and provides hands-on, operational HR support to assigned business groups within KF Aerospace. This role works closely with business leaders and employees to deliver consistent, practical, and compliant HR solutions aligned with business needs.   The HRBP in Manitoba will play a key role in supporting all HR related components of the existing Contracted Training, Flying and Support (CFTS) and the transition to the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program at various locations.  This is a significant opportunity to impact the success of the next 25-year contract with the Royal Canadian Air Force.   This role also provides HR guidance to Managers and employees at all levels and in various locations, as well as limited administrative support to the Site Manager(s) when needed.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic support Work with the leadership teams in the designated groups to identify areas for improvement relating to the department’s human resources. Assist with change management and the implementation of company wide initiatives. Ensure accurate understanding of employee policies and procedures. Identify people issues, coach, and assist leaders with the management of these people issues. Identify training and development opportunities for groups or individuals.    Recruitment Research and prepare job descriptions, interview questions and assessment criteria to support the recruitment process for all vacant positions. Provide support for the creation and implementation of recruitment strategies and practices. Recruitment includes position focused and job fair strategies.   Selection Support the hiring manager in the process of selecting the best candidate for their vacancy. Short list resumes, phone screen candidates, guide the interview, complete reference checks and pre-employment testing. Prepare offer letters, transfer letters or promotion letters within the compensation and benefits guidelines.    Compensation  Interpret compensation policies for leaders and staff. Within established guidelines, determine appropriate wage for new employees, and process routine performance-based increases.     Benefits Provide information on available benefits, answer employee questions, and promote new benefits.    Onboarding  Assist new employees with the onboarding paperwork, employee communication portal, uniform program, etc. Present elements of our new employee orientation classroom program.    Performance Management Support leaders in the application of our Performance Management program by providing feedback pre and post delivery as needed. Ensure all reviews in designated groups are completed in a timely manner. Assist leaders with the development of performance improvement plans. Support leaders with feedback meetings, conflict resolution meetings, and disciplinary meetings and the preparation of letters.    Employee Support Support employees as required. Respond to employee concerns from within the business group. Conduct investigations as appropriate.    Disability Management  Assist employees with disability claims, manage return to work (including modified duties), ensure appropriate resources, and liaise with case manager.    Other Duties * Participate in Human Resources projects that span the organization.  * Conduct exit interviews with departing employees.  * Provide operational support to the Site Manager 1. Assist with planning and organizing annual events such as Farmers Appreciation Day, ceremonial functions and employee relations (sympathy and celebratory activities) 2. The expertise and technical skill level of the candidate is assessed during the selection process for placement within the band.
