Description The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a strategic partner to business leaders, driving organizational performance by aligning human resources strategies with business goals. The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a liaison between employees/managers of a business unit, division, or profit center and the corporate human resources function. Provides consultative guidance and coaching to managers and employees on human resources-related matters, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, goals, and objectives. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: · Strategic Partnership: · Collaborate with business leaders to understand their objectives and develop HR strategies that align with business needs. · Provide insights and guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent acquisition. · Consultative Guidance: · Provide consultative guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR-related matters, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, goals, and objectives. · Assist managers in addressing employee performance issues, including developing performance improvement plans and conducting disciplinary actions. · Support managers in understanding and implementing HR programs and initiatives. · Employee Orientations: · Conduct comprehensive onboarding sessions for new hires to ensure they understand company policies, culture, and expectations. · Develop and deliver training programs on various HR topics, such as compliance, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development. · Facilitate orientation sessions that cover benefits, compensation, and career development opportunities. · Compensation: · Assist in the administration of compensation programs, including salary reviews, promotions, and incentive plans. · Complex Issue Resolution: · Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, such as workplace conflicts, harassment allegations, and grievances. · Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate actions. · Provide guidance on legal and regulatory compliance to minimize risk and ensure fair treatment of employees. · Serve as a trusted advisor for employees and managers, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts promptly and effectively. · Promote a positive work environment and employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and productivity. · Data Analysis and Reporting: · Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and recommend actions. · Prepare regular reports for leadership on HR activities, workforce analytics, and employee engagement results. · Compliance and Risk Management: · Stay informed about relevant labor laws and regulations, ensuring the organization’s compliance. · Support efforts to mitigate risks associated with employee relations and other HR-related issues. · Change Management: · Lead and support organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the process. · Leadership and Mentoring: · Provide leadership and mentorship to junior HR staff, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers. · Act as a role model for HR best practices and ethical behavior. · Lead HR projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS: · Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. · HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) · Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a strategic HR role. · Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. · Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and employees. · Proven experience in talent management, performance management, and employee relations. · Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. · Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software (Paylocity) WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
