This role sits within operations supporting Roads and Port, which is responsible for the safe and efficient transport storage and loading of iron ore from mine to port. Job Description This is a hands-on role embedded in operations where you will: Partner with leaders across our Roads and Port teams, providing practical HR support and coaching Support workforce growth and operational performance Oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including performance, development, and remuneration processes Provide timely, pragmatic advice across all generalist HR areas including performance, conduct, attendance and probation Provide strategic and operational HR advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures, employment legislation, recruitment strategies, Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies, and governance frameworks Use data (turnover, absenteeism, overtime) to have real conversations with leaders about what’s happening in their teams Contribute to a culture of accountability, safety and high performance Participate in People & Culture projects that enhance the employee experience. Qualifications About you: 5 years’ experience as an HR Business Partner in an operational or blue-collar setting in a mining, logistics, transport, or heavy industry environment Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferable) Sound working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES, and modern award frameworks. Proven ability to manage ER/IR matters with confidence and fairness including EBA negotiations Proven track record in leadership coaching and building management capability High resilience, strong commercial acumen, and a decisive, “gets it done” mindset Embodies the Fenix values of Humble (lacks excessive ego), Hungry (shows a strong drive & motivation to achieve & exceed expectations), Smart (displays good people skills, and appropriate in their interactions with others) Not in Geraldton and open to a change of lifestyle?
