Your Responsibilities
The Northeast Series (region) of Lockton Companies, LLC is seeking a strategic, hands-on Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our dynamic team. This is a Washington, D.C. or New York City-based role reporting directly to the People Director. The HRBP supports a growing population of 900+ Associates across offices in the Northeast region including New York, Boston/Portland ME, Hartford, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C., and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The HRBP will serve as a trusted advisor and partner to leadership, driving HR strategies that align with Lockton’s mission and values.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic HR advisor to managers and employees, promoting Lockton’s values of integrity, innovation, and care.
  • Lead and support core HR functions including employee relations, onboarding, performance management, and talent development.
  • Advance and facilitate the onboarding process and new hire orientation.
  • Implement talent management strategies, including succession planning, skills gap analysis, and high-potential development.
  • Partner with leadership to drive organizational development initiatives such as change management and workforce planning.
  • Ensure performance appraisals are conducted effectively and in alignment with company policy.
  • Collaborate with Central Services HR, Associate Development, Recruiting, and Intern Program teams.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives.
  • Analyze HR data and trends to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support cross-functional projects that enhance employee experience and operational excellence.
  • Provide basic HRIS reporting and partner on specialized projects as needed
