THE POSITION

As an HRBP with Stoppler Hughes, you won’t just “do HR”, you’ll lead it. You’ll be the trusted go-to for our clients across Canada, diving into their unique challenges, inspiring their teams, and delivering bold, creative HR solutions that get results. This is a role for someone who thrives in the spotlight, loves building relationships, and isn’t afraid to take charge of a room.
You’ll work side-by-side with client leadership, getting to know their people, their culture, and their vision, then crafting strategies that move the needle. Every day is different, one moment you’re hosting a lively workshop, the next you’re advising executives, and the next you’re celebrating a client win!
We’re looking for someone with a solid HR foundation, a magnetic personality, exceptional communication skills, and the confidence to lead conversations with everyone from front-line employees to the C-suite. You don’t need prior consulting experience, just the drive to learn fast, adapt quickly, and own your role like a pro. Bonus? QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Commerce, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with solid business partnering know-how; you’ve worked closely with leaders, influenced big decisions, and seen your ideas in action.
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle, because our clients are everywhere, and so are you.
• Tech confidence; you know your way around HRIS systems, Adobe products, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office, and can pick up new tools like a pro.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations; you can hold your own in any HR conversation.
• Communication skills that light up a room; whether you’re presenting to executives, leading workshops, or inspiring teams, you make people want to listen.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment; juggling multiple clients, industries, and projects doesn’t scare you, it fuels you.
• A strategic mindset; you don’t just check HR boxes, you create solutions that align with the big-picture business goals.
• Proven project management chops; you know how to take an idea from concept to completion without missing a beat.
• Diplomacy with an edge; you can negotiate, resolve conflict, and manage people with confidence and professionalism.
• High level critical thinking; you don’t just react, you anticipate, analyze, and act with purpose.
• Discretion and professionalism; because trust is everything in this role.
• CPHR designation? That’s a bonus in our books.
  Location: Various client sites in Edmonton, AB, with the option to travel for out of town clients
