TEAMWORK:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure job descriptions are current, accurate, and aligned with organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop workforce strategies, address staffing gaps, and ensure timely and effective recruitment of candidates across various departments.
  • Work with leaders to drive recruitment initiatives such as Summer Students, BCF Grants, and other position establishment requests, ensuring the effective execution of these projects.

EDUCATION

  • Post-secondary degree in human resources, business administration or related area.
  • CPHR Designation (asset)

EXPERIENCE

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in HR Advisor/Consultant or generalist position.
  • Labour Relations (union) experience working in multi-site, multi-union workplaces
  • Experience preparing collective bargaining proposals and participating in collective bargaining.
  • Experience in complex Disability Management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment and related legislation.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License for regular travel between Bethany sites.

ASSET EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in a continuing care environment (Long-Term Care and Assisted Living).

ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Committed to a high level of customer service.
  • Excellent analytical skills, strong in MS Office and HRIS platforms .
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience coaching clients and team members.
  • Ability to set priorities and hand multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
