Description

We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources Business Partner to join our client in Terre Haute, Indiana. This role is essential in aligning organizational objectives with employees and management, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in various HR disciplines while building strong partnerships to drive business success.

Responsibilities
  • Meet regularly with department leaders to discuss business objectives and provide HR-related guidance.
  • Analyze HR data and trends to develop actionable strategies and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters, conducting thorough investigations when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and partnering with the legal team as needed.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including coaching, counseling, and career development support.
  • Collaborate with employees and management to enhance workplace relationships, morale, and employee retention.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, including the development of terms for hiring, promotions, and internal transfers.
  • Assist with international HR matters, including expatriate assignments and compliance.
  • Support organizational changes such as workforce planning, restructures, and succession planning.
  • Identify training and development needs, monitoring program effectiveness and ensuring objectives are achieved.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage union-related processes, such as grievances and payroll.
  • Strong skills in counseling and guiding employees in a detail-oriented manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Experience in workforce planning, diversity initiatives, and performance management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
