Description
About SaaS Labs Every business talks about “better customer conversations.” SaaS Labs builds products that actually make them happen. From JustCall to Callpage to ServiceAgent.ai, we help thousands of businesses communicate better. With 300+ people across India, the US, and beyond, we’re at an inflection point as AI reshapes business communication. Working here means total ownership—moving fast, building big, and seeing real impact. If you’re nodding along, let’s talk. Role Mission To act as a true business partner to leaders by translating business goals into people strategies — and ensuring execution happens, not just decks. We like smart debates, clean execution, and people who take accountability personally. We work hard, laugh often, and don’t believe in mediocrity — especially in HR. If you think HRBP is about templates, trackers, and “best practices” without context — this role might not be for you. If you believe HR can move business metrics, read on. Your mission is simple (and hard): Make teams healthier, sharper, and higher-performing — at scale. What Success in this role looks like You’re successful in this role if: Business leaders proactively seek your input (not just approvals) Managers get better at managing — measurably Attrition is understood, not “mysterious” Performance conversations are timely, fair, and high-quality People decisions are backed by data, not vibes HR processes feel light logical, and respected, not bureaucratic Attributes an ideal candidate should have to be successful in this role We’re looking for thinking HRBPs, not task managers. Must haves: Strong business acumen / or at least the ability to understand business fast Ability to influence without authority High ownership mindset (you don’t wait to be told) Comfort with ambiguity and fast change Excellent judgment — especially in grey areas Data-first approach to people problems Nice to haves (but we secretly love these): Ability to challenge leaders respectfully Bias for action over perfection Clear, crisp communication (no HR jargon) Sense of humor - because work is intense enough already Key Responsibilities Business Partnership: Trusted advisor to business leaders, translate business priorities into actions Manager Effectiveness: Coach managers on performance, feedback, and difficult conversations & Improve quality of people management across levels Performance & Talent Management: Manage performance process and talent development, Identify high performers, high potentials, and risk areas early Employee Experience: Drive engagement, retention, and culture outcomes. Act as a strong employee advocate and business partner Data & Insights: Use data to identify trends and recommend actions. Move beyond dashboards to decisions What you’ll actually do (day to day reality): Partner with leaders on org design, headcount planning and talent strategy Drive performance management, promotions, and compensation conversations Handle employee relations cases with maturity, fairness, and discretion Coach managers through tough people decisions Identify systemic people issues and fix root causes Continuously simplify HR processes — complexity is a bug, not a feature Because Life’s Too Short For Boring Jobs Take time off when you need it. We trust you to manage your energy and schedule responsibly. We don’t track hours, just impact. Work when you’re most productive, as long as you show up for your team. Competitive pay that reflects your skills, experience, and the value you bring. Once a year, we also trade Zoom calls for real hugs and high fives, gathering somewhere nice and sunny to connect, recharge and celebrate. Comprehensive physical and mental health coverage for you, your partner and your family, because care shouldn’t come with fine print. SaaS Labs takes pride in being an equal opportunity employer. We believe diverse teams build better products, which is why we're committed to taking hiring or any employment decision regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic.
