SPRING LIVING OVERVIEW

Spring Living Retirement Communities (springliving.ca) is a boutique, rapidly growing Canadian senior living owner/operator, who currently owns and operates 22 retirement communities in Ontario and Quebec. The company has an ambitious growth plan to expanding through acquisition of mid-market retirement residences across Canada over the next 5 years. Spring Living’s mission is to create warm, welcoming and secure environments for residents, foster caring connections, and provide personalized services by team members who are committed to making a significant IMPACT every day.
Spring Living is the Retirement Community platform of the BAZ group; a Real Estate company that strategically acquires, develops, constructs and repositions assets throughout North America.

EDUCATION /LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Provide education and guidance to site leaders on the implementation of performance management programs for managers, including goal setting, coaching, and appraisals using nine boxes for quarterly reviews.
  • Provide education and evaluate the use of the attendance management program at each site monitoring progress- taking corrective action as required to support resolution of attendance management matters!
  • Provide monthly education sessions (remote and train the trainer) on key priority HR matters as identified by sites and in accordance with the annual business plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a multi-site, unionized healthcare, hospitality, or senior living environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CHRP designation (or working towards) is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and experience supporting health & safety initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build rapport with diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and travel between sites as required.
  • High level of discretion, emotional intelligence, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (proof required).
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
