The Role The HR Business Partner (HRBP) supports the delivery of a consistent, engaging employee experience across the Vantage network. Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR, this role works closely with leaders to implement people programs, provide practical coaching, and ensure HR policies and processes are applied fairly, consistently, and in line with employment legislation and collective agreements. This role blends hands-on execution with growing strategic exposure and is well-suited to an HR professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, and matrixed environment. ­ Responsibilities Employee Experience & Employee Relations Support the annual goal setting and performance management cycles, including annual goal setting, continuous conversations, year-end reviews, system updates, reporting and leader enablement Provide day-to-day employee and labour relations support, including guidance on performance concerns, attendance, conduct, and workplace issues Partner with the Senior Manager, HR to support training and development initiatives that enhance employee capability, leadership effectiveness, and overall employee experience Support with leaders in driving employee engagement initiatives, including participation in engagement surveys and development initiatives. Assist with the development, communication, and rollout of HR policies, programs, and updates (e.g., Code of Conduct, performance tools, people processes). Build strong, trusted relationships with site and network leaders, employees, and HR colleagues. Provide practical, values-based coaching and guidance to leaders on people matters, applying a strategic mindset to balance employee experience, business needs, and compliance requirements. HR Programs, Policies & Projects Partner with the Senior Manager, HR to design, improve, and document HR policies, processes, tools, and templates that support a rapidly growing, matrix organization. Support the implementation of HR initiatives and annual HR objectives, including change management and communication planning. Deliver one-on-one and group training to leaders and employees on HR programs, processes, and best practices (e.g., performance management, goal setting, respectful workplace). Respond to employee and leader inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent interpretation and application. Support Total Rewards and other HR projects as required. HR Operations & Administration Own the administration of core HR processes, including offer letters, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, and disciplinary documentation. Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with employment legislation, collective agreements, and internal policies. Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information. Prepare and analyze HR data and reports related to employee demographics, performance, engagement, turnover, and other people metrics. Talent Acquisition Support Talent Acquisition activities as required, including ownership of the full end-to-end recruitment process for assigned roles. Partner with hiring managers on role definition, job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding. Prepare and administer employment offers, employment agreements, and onboarding documentation. Manage and maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment platforms (e.g., iCIMS, LinkedIn, job boards). Coordinate third-party recruiting agency administration, including contracts, invoices, and tracking of hires. Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned ­ Primary Qualifications Ideally, you hold Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or similar field of study. CPHR/SHRM designation an asset. You have 5 - 10 years of progressive experience working in Human Resources roles. In addition, the following are preferred qualifications: Knowledge of employment / labour laws and regulations and their application in both Canada and the US Ability to manage multiple projects, while delivering on time without compromising quality Comfortable with designing and delivering clear, practical training for employees and leaders Familiarity with performance review cycles, goal setting models, feedback frameworks, and tools for aligning individual objectives to business outcomes. Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in dynamic environments Builds trust with leaders and employees, consults on people matters, and influences decisions without direct authority Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate uncertainty Clear oral and written communication; adapts messages to diverse audiences; prepares reports, presentations, and training materials. Awareness of evolving expectations, trends, and technologies in HR Proficient in office programs (e.g., Microsoft Office products) and capable of learning key HRIS / role specific applications Comfortable using HRIS and ATS platforms, such as ADP and iCIMS, with the ability to learn new platforms and tools seamlessly.
